Some stories choose us.
How we live them — that’s ours to shape.

Life isn’t linear. And it’s rarely tidy.

It brings experiences we don’t always choose — a loss, a family pattern, a role we didn’t expect, or cultural forces that shaped us before we even knew they were there.

Other times, we face too many choices, unclear direction, or the quiet pressure to perform someone else’s version of a life.

This space is for learning, reflection, and support — a place to deepen your understanding of yourself, your patterns, and the world around you.

A place to reconnect with clarity, agency, and compassion.

I’m Lorie Gehrke, and my work lives at the intersection of insight and integration — through writing, teaching, and conversation.

I work with individuals and professionals alike: people navigating personal transitions, collective challenges, or simply the desire to live and lead with more intention.

Together, we explore the stories we carry, the archetypes that shape us, and the choices available in each unfolding moment.

Here, you’ll find:

Archetypes & Astrology

We’re shaped by patterns — some we inherit, some we repeat, some we rewrite.

Archetypes show up everywhere: in the roles we play, the stories we resonate with, the dynamics we return to again and again.  Astrology offers a symbolic language for understanding those patterns — not to define you, but to help you see your path more clearly.  This isn’t predictive work. It’s not about labeling or limiting. It’s about insight. About recognizing your strengths, tensions, timing, and choices — and learning to work with them more consciously.

Whether you’re navigating a transition, clarifying your voice, or just curious about why you’re feeling stuck or pulled in a certain direction, archetypal astrology offers a map for reflection and alignment.

Nourishment

There’s no one-size-fits-all path to feeling well.  Your body, your rhythms, your needs — they’re uniquely yours.

As a Certified Nutrition Consultant, I offer support for discovering what truly nourishes you — in body, mind, and daily life.

That might include:

  • thoughtful reflections on food and nutrition

  • home practices and simple, real-life recipes

  • garden glimpses and seasonal shifts

  • tools for stress, sleep, and energy

  • ways to listen to your body beyond the scale — from resting heart rate to how you actually feel in your clothes and your body

Whether you're exploring new ways of eating, navigating a health transition, or simply trying to rebuild sustainable habits, this isn’t about restriction or perfection.

It’s about bioindividuality, gentle curiosity, and reconnecting with what helps you feel more like yourself.

You’ll also find inspiration from the Archetypal Table, where nourishment meets story — alongside evolving reflections from my own journey of reclaiming health and rhythm, one choice at a time.

Grieving

We don’t choose to experience grief — in any of its forms.

But we do have choices in how we live with it: how we respond, integrate, and reshape the story around what was lost.

My Triple Knot™ Framework offers a compassionate, clarifying lens for understanding why no two grief experiences are alike — even when grieving the same loss or within the same family

Each “knot” reflects a core aspect of your grief experience: Loss (what was lost, and how); Support (your external resources — or lack of them); and Resilience (your inner terrain — from nervous system to spiritual life).

These circles will always overlap. But their size, intensity, and what they hold can make a grief experience feel simple or impossibly tangled.

By exploring what’s inside each knot — and gently tending to what’s missing, strained, or overly tight — we create space for compassion, understanding, and the possibility of healing.

As a Certified Grief Educator, I offer grief-informed insight and compassionate frameworks to help you live with grief, not around it — with space for both clarity and meaning-making.

Musings

This is where I wonder aloud.  Where meaning takes the scenic route.  Where kitchen tables, ancient myths, nutrition labels, fairy tales, fire seasons, and grief all sit next to each other — and somehow belong.

In these writings, I explore what it means to live a layered, nonlinear life — a life that doesn’t follow a neat, expected path or timeline; one shaped by detours, spirals, pauses, and returns. It’s the kind of life where grief, healing, identity, purpose, and even health unfold outside of straight lines — where personal growth doesn’t always look like progress, but often like circling back, shedding layers, or going deeper. And where the old “if you do X, you’ll get Y” formulas don’t quite hold.

You’ll find reflections on:

  • original stories and essays on archetypes, astrology, and meaning

  • nourishment, food, and home rhythms — from recipes and gardens to reflections drawn from The Archetypal Kitchen

  • grieving — in all its forms, through the lens of story, capacity, agency, and choice

  • reimagined myths and fairytales — and the archetypes that live beneath them

  • astrology as a symbolic language — not for prediction, but for self-understanding and spacious insight

  • and whatever is currently calling me to ask deeper questions

You won’t find formulas. You will find frameworks.

You won’t find easy answers. You will find possibility.

And most of all, I hope you find something that helps you feel less alone, more spacious, and a little more free to choose.
